About Trek
The Hampta Pass Trek is one of the most dramatic crossover treks in the Indian Himalayas. What makes it unique is the extraordinary transition between two completely different mountain landscapes. Trekkers begin in the lush green Kullu Valley, surrounded by forests, rivers, waterfalls, and alpine meadows. After crossing Hampta Pass, the scenery changes abruptly into the stark, barren terrain of Lahaul, resembling the landscapes of Spiti.
This striking contrast makes Hampta Pass one of the most rewarding short treks in India. Despite being accessible to fit beginners, it delivers a true high-altitude Himalayan experience with glaciers, river crossings, snow patches, and spectacular mountain scenery.
