About Trek
The Gaumukh Gangotri Trek is one of the most spiritually significant and scenic Himalayan journeys in India. The trek leads to Gaumukh, the snout of the Gangotri Glacier, where the sacred Bhagirathi River emerges from the ice. The Bhagirathi later becomes the Ganga, one of India's most revered rivers.
Unlike summit-focused treks, this journey is about witnessing the origin of a river that has shaped culture, history, agriculture, and spirituality across northern India. The route combines sacred pilgrimage, glacier landscapes, river valleys, forests, and magnificent Himalayan views.
